Prima stoofpotje van gietijzer. Het materiaal is goed gegoten en stevig. 1 minpuntje is dat de inbrandingslaag (seasoning) extreem dun is en bij eerste gebruik al verdwijnt. Makkelijk te herstellen door de pot met een dun laagje olie in te smeren en dan in de oven op 250 graden celsius voor een uur in te branden.

Excellent cast iron casserole. The material is well cast and sturdy. 1 downside is that the burning layer (seasoning) is extremely thin and disappears upon first use. Easy to repair by smearing the pot with a thin layer of oil and then burning it in the oven at 250 degrees Celsius for an hour.

Wir ärgerten uns immer über die ungenutzte Wärme der Glut nach dem Grillen.Nun stellen wir unser "Pötchen" in die Asche und legen Teig hinein.Halbe Stunde mit Deckel und man hat Brot oder Brötchen für die nächste Mahlzeit.Backergebnis ist etwas softer als im Ofen,kann sich aber durchaus sehen lassen.Größe 3 passt uns dafür gut.Auch Gemüse wird toll.Es blieb bei uns immer noch gut bissfest.Haben gleich noch einen 2. für den Herd bestellt.

We were always annoyed about the unused warmth of the embers after grilling. Now we put our "pot" in the ashes and put the dough in it. Half an hour with the lid on and you have bread or rolls for the next meal. The result is a little softer than in the Oven, but that's something to be proud of. Size 3 suits us well. Vegetables are also great. We still had them al dente.

Gulaschsuppe , der Klassiker für so einen Topf ! Feuerschale mit Grillkohle gefüllt , angezündet , gewartet bis ordentlich Glut da ist ( erst mal ein Bierchen getrunken ) dann den Gulasch heiss angebraten , dann Zwiebeln dazu , glasig mitgebraten .. und abgelöscht ( das zweite Bierchen getrunken ) ... den Rest könnt ihr euch ja denken .. Der Gulasch war sooooo lecker .. Beste Investition die ich je gemacht habe . Werde noch einige andere Sachen darin kochen , macht einfach nur Spass !

Ich habe große Freude mit dem Kessel! Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und mangelfrei, der Kessel war sehr gut verpackt. Das Gewicht hat mich doch ein wenig überrascht, weil ich nicht damit gerechnet habe, dass er sich, trotz Gewichtangabe, so schwer anfühlt. Im Feuer steht er gut und stabil, auf Erde durch die drei spitzen Füße muss man sich ein wenig um halbwegs festen Untergrund bemühen, damit nicht einer einsinkt und dadurch der Inhalt ausgegossen wird. Er ist schön verarbeitet und weist auch nach mehrfachem Gebrauch keine sonderlich großen Sbnutzungen auf- bis natürlich auf die Füße, die ja im Feuer stehen. Der Deckel liegt recht lose auf, da gilt es beim Tragen das Gleichgewicht zu halten, sonst rutscht er recht schnell vom Kessel- hier wäre vielleicht eine etwas tiefere Rille zum besseren Halten wünschenswert. Das ist aber meines Erachtens zu vernachlässigen, mit ein wenig aufpassen lässt es Sicht gut mit gefülltem Kessel und aufgesetztem Deckel gegen. Die Reinigung ist denkbar einfach: ausspühlen und mit schwamm nachwischen. Paste zum versiegeln werden wir erst im Frühjahr anwenden. Bin im großen ind ganzen sehr zufrieden!

The weight surprised me a little, because I didn't expect it to feel so heavy, despite the weight specification. In the fire it stands well and stably, on earth due to the three pointed feet you have to make a little effort to find a reasonably solid surface so that one does not sink in and the contents are spilled out. It is beautifully finished and shows no particular signs of wear even after repeated use - except of course on the feet, which are in the fire. The lid is quite loose, so it is important to keep your balance when carrying it, otherwise it slips off the kettle quite quickly - a slightly deeper groove might be desirable here for better holding. In my opinion, this is negligible, with a little care you can see well with a filled kettle and the lid on. Cleaning is very easy: rinse and wipe with a sponge. We will not use paste for sealing until spring. Overall I am very satisfied!

Sembra la pentola delle streghe, rara da trovare, è proprio bella da vedere e da lasciare per bellezza sulla stufa. Per la mia cucina vegetariana non ha molti usi salvo qualche minestrone, quindi non posso dare giudizi inerenti stufati etc. Posso dire che che raggiunge ottime temperature e che grazie al coperchio mantiene morbide le pietanze. La tengo sempre un pochino unta all'interno per evitare il rischio di ruggine. Da nuova ho seguito il procedimento di "cottura" prima facendo bollire dell'acqua, dopodiché l'ho lasciata una ventina di minuti sul fuoco dopo aver cosparso di olio l'interno con un pennellino. Per sfizio qualche volta ci cuoco semplicemente del riso o la pasta. Già la misura piccola è sufficiente per un normale nucleo familiare di 3-4 pp, non ingombra, e ha un costo accessibile. Usata una volta anche sulla brace, cucina divertente!!

It looks like a witches' pot, rare to find, it is really beautiful to look at and to leave for beauty on the stove. For my vegetarian cooking it does not have many uses except for some minestrone, so I cannot give opinions regarding stews etc. I can say that it reaches excellent temperatures and that thanks to the lid it keeps the food soft. I always keep it a little oiled inside to avoid the risk of rust. When new I followed the "cooking" procedure by first boiling water, then I left it on the stove for about twenty minutes after having sprinkled oil on the inside with a brush. For fun sometimes I simply cook rice or pasta in it. The small size is already enough for a normal family of 3-4 pp, it does not take up space, and it is affordable. Used once even on the grill, fun cooking!!

Habe das Teil spontan bestellt und sofort auf einem Mittelaltermarkt (MPS Öjendorf) getestet . Feuerschale an mit Brickets , Potje mit fettem Speck druff . Gemüse,Kartoffeln und ca 2,5 Kilo Wurst und Fleisch (geschätzte Werte) dazu , ca. 1,5-2 Stunden später kamen die Nachbarskinder mit Telern angelaufen ! Es hat echt Spaß gemacht und wird jetzt regelmäßig wiederholt werden .

I ordered the part spontaneously and immediately tested it at a medieval market (MPS Öjendorf). Fire bowl on with brickets, Potje with fat bacon. Vegetables, potatoes and about 2.5 kilos of sausage and meat (estimated values), about 1.5-2 hours later the neighbors' children came running with Telern! It was really fun and will now be repeated regularly.

Ich nutze ihn für Outdoor Kochen auf offenem Feuer, bzw. in einer Feuerschale auf Holzkohle. Wir haben darin die besten Eintöpfe gekocht und sogar mal Sojamilch! Er hält die Wärme sehr lange und steht gut fest auf seinen Beinchen. Einziges Manko ist der Henkel, der etwas schwergängig ist, was sich aber durch etwas Biegen mit Kraft sicher beheben ließe (müsste mal einen kräftigen Herren fragen...) Den Deckel sollte man im heißen Zustand definitiv nicht ohne Topflappen, am besten mit Feuerhaken anheben! Wirkt auf Mittelalter-Events sehr schön authentisch und setzt kaum bis gar keinen Rost an trotz des Urigen Aussehens und Einsatz über 10 Tage im Freien. Hat sich in meinen Augen absolut bewährt!

I use it for outdoor cooking on an open fire or in a fire bowl on charcoal. We cooked the best stews in it and even soy milk! He keeps the heat for a long time and stands firmly on his little legs. The only drawback is the handle, which is a bit stiff, but this could certainly be fixed by bending it with some force (I would have to ask a strong gentleman...) The lid should definitely not be lifted when it is hot without pot holders, preferably with a poker ! Looks very authentic at medieval events and hardly rusts at all despite the rustic appearance and use outdoors for 10 days. In my opinion, it has absolutely worked!
